Eagles' coach Reid returns

03/23/2007 - Philadelphia, PA (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid returned to work on Friday after spending more than a month away from the team to deal with personal issues.
Reid stepped away last month to deal with the recent legal troubles involving his sons, Britt and Garrett.
"On behalf of my family and myself, there has been a great outpouring from fans, friends, colleagues and a tremendous amount of support in Philadelphia and we appreciate that," said Reid in a press conference held on Friday morning.
He has been in frequent contact with the team during his leave to help with the free agent signings as well as preparation for the upcoming draft.
"We made some staff changes and we brought in a couple of players here that I think will help us," said Reid. "We continue to look at the free agent market and will address the areas where we need help."
Reid will now assume a full workload, and is expected to attend the owners' meeting later this month.
"I can't say walking away didn't cross my mind, but I needed to take some time to address the difficulties," said Reid. "I never got to that point where I was ready to walk away. I needed some time to sort things out the past couple of weeks. We all spend time with family and work. You have to have quality time for both.
"This is a great city to coach in. I've seen quite a few things and being able to coach in Philadelphia is quite a special thing."

Terrell Owens could return for Cowboys next game
A bye week will allow Terrell Owens broken hand to recover just in time for the next game the Dallas Cowboys are slated to play, according to reports. MySportsbook.com, an football sportsbook, has posted football betting lines on TO playing.
Owens broke the bone leading to his right ring finger Sunday night and had a plate surgically attached to it Monday. Although Owens' hand was swollen and aching Wednesday, Dallas Cowboys coach Bill Parcells said he's optimistic the receiver will be back at work next week and catching passes a week from Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.
MySportsbook.com online sportsbook listed Terrell Owens with odds of 7-2 (or $7 paid out for every $2 bet) to return back for the game against Tennessee.
"I certainly wouldn't rule it out now," Parcells said, referring to Terrell Owens immediate return. "Maybe five days from now I might, but I wouldn't rule it out now. ... I know we're looking to try to get him moving around pretty good in the next day or so. So we'll see where we are."
Owens did not speak with reporters Wednesday, but said Sunday he'd be out two to four weeks. A return against the Titans would be 13 days after the surgery. The Cowboys were listed as an early -7 1/2 favorite vs. the Tennessee Titans for Week 4 at MySportsbook.com
